Helen Davies

Violin

Helen Davies studied with Erich Gruenberg and Howard Davis as a scholarship student at the Royal Academy of Music. She regularly appears as concerto soloist at St Martin in the Fields, is principal of Belmont Ensemble of London, and a member of London Concertante and London Musical Arts Orchestra. She is a founder member of the award-winning Guillami String Quartet (1998-present) and violin/viola tutor at Trinity School Croydon (students aged 10-18) since 1997. She was a Year 2000 Fellow of the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust, where her fellowship programme included intensive lesson observations and participation in classes at the Junior departments of Julliard and Manhattan Schools of Music and the School for Strings, a specialist Suzuki Method School in New York. In addition to teaching for the Trinity Music Academy she is on the teaching panel for the Royal College of Music Junior Department.
